It is the most important commercial and administrative center of Tokyo. In the same, is its famous train station, which is the most used in the world, (an average of 3 million people use the station daily), in addition to the Tochō or Tokyo Metropolitan Government building, which is the center of the Tokyo administration and the most important urban symbol of the eastern part of Tokyo. Many international hotels have a branch in this neighborhood, especially to the west of the neighborhood. Shinjuku has the highest rate of registered immigrants than any other neighborhood in Tokyo.
